Bitverse Whitepaper 2.0
Today, we published a sizable update to our white paper.
The original white paper for the Bitverse was released earlier this year in April of 2022 and featured a lot of our initial thinking and concepts regarding the Bitverse. Since then, our thinking has evolved and, as such, we have updated the white paper to give shape to some of the less defined details found in the original white paper. The newest version of the Bitverse White Paper can be found here.
One of the key factors in our decision to update the white paper was in no small part due to the tremendous feedback we’ve received from our community in the past few months. Your passion and insight on this project has helped us shape its direction, and we are proud to share the details of this new direction with you. We hope that this update reflects that.
As we mentioned, this is a BIG update. Nearly all of the sections of the white paper have been updated. The majority of the updates are to help clarify project goals and to provide greater details to ideas previously mentioned in our original white paper.
One example of these changes is how we view Bitverse Heroes utility: we have adjusted the Bitverse Hero (NFT) section of the white paper to reflect the actual perks of Hero ownership and the design attributes each Hero will contain.
Web3 gaming is still in its infancy and we anticipate that the space will grow and evolve over time. The Bitverse is no different. We anticipate that the Bitverse of 2022 will expand and adapt over the next several years. We hope the community will be a part of this evolution and your participation will grow with us.
Therefore, we are declaring a guiding principle in our development that, as the project evolves, we will continue to keep this white paper up-to-date and communicate any changes. We’ve also added a Changelog at the end of the white paper, where old versions will be available for you to peruse, to see where we’ve been and where we’re going. You can find the Changelog at the bottom of this article as well.
There is one area we didn’t touch in this update that we want to highlight. We have been focusing our efforts almost primarily on the Bitverse Hero NFTs and very little effort on the Bit Pixel ($BPXL) token, so far.
Therefore, these sections are nearly unchanged from their original vision. As we move past the Pre-Sale on 9/22, we will begin turning our attention towards developing the $BPXL. As we continue to develop the token, we anticipate another change to the white paper as we get closer to token launch.
